While our school is preparing to inaugurate new facilities and a new name, the Lycée Français nonetheless remains attached to its identity and to the one who gave it its name, Louis-Charles Damais. This week, the CDI and its librarian teacher, Ms. Mainguy, hosted a very enriching meeting between the 3e class and Jean-Pascal Elbaz, specialist in French epigraphy to which he is currently devoting academic work.
Led by Gabriel Laufer, our music teacher, who lqunched this EPI dedicated to the one who embodies so well the link between Indonesia and France, this exchange focused on the work of finding sources, checking and writing. Indeed, the 3e students, supervised by Ms. Rivière, a French teacher, have given themselves the task of completing the wikipedia notice of Louis-Charles Damais.
A difficult and long task that will be completed next March, but for which Jean-Pascal Elbaz’s kindful advice will be of great help, as has been the information provided by Antoine Srun, Wikipedian patroller that our students also had a chance to meet last October.
