With the resumption of 100% in-face classes, the Student Representatives’ Board was able to meet again this week to reflect on the reorganization of shared spaces during recess. Each student representative in Elementary School (from CP to CM2) was asked to have a discussion prior to the meeting with his/her classmates in order to choose two proposals to bring up to the Board. The proposals were presented, debated and then voted upon. Beautiful ideas in perspective: access to the library, being able to have a room to play chess and board games, a gardening workshop, a room to practice dancing, etc. This approach enriches extracurricular time, contributes to the feeling of belonging and well-being at school, while contributing to the training of future citizens by making students actors or even authors in their school.
