In art class, CE2 students are learning about the internationally renowned quilting artisans of Gee’s Bend, Alabama. Like real quilters, we collected scrap material, invited our community of talented and skilled craftmakers (moms!) into our circle, and started to make a beautiful “everyday object” with our own hands.
