The 2021 edition of the Castor competition is over. This year 671,020 students in 3,642 French schools around the world took part! At the Lycée Français of Jakarta, students from 6e to Seconde took part in this event.

This competition aims to introduce young people to computer science and digital sciences. The competition covers various aspects of computing: information and representation, algorithmic thinking, application use, data structures, logic games, computing and society. Castor is just the first step in learning about computers. The next step is the Algoréa competition, open from January 2022, intended to support students as they learn programming and algorithms, in Blockly, Scratch or Python languages.
