CE2 has been hard and creatively at work again. This time learning about landforms in the American West AND writing poetry about it! They have learned about plateaus, mesas, buttes and canyons, lakes and waterfalls – and the beauty (this week) of Colorado, which they visited virtually through the eyes of a drone! After watching the breathtaking video, today the students put their appreciation of these natural beauties creatively into poetry with the Cinquain! An easy format that turns everyone into a poet.
