For all classes, a serein start in compliance with the health recommandations.
The life SCHOOL’s health protocol is the result of collaborative work by the CHS (Hygiene and Safety Commission), supervised by the school medical service and approved by the Safety referent of the French Embassy. It responds to the recommendations of the French High Scientific Council.

In case COVID-19 symptoms appear
Everyone should agree not to come to life SCHOOL and immediately notify the school.
You are encouraged to take your child’s temperature before leaving for school, even if there are no symptoms.
If it is above 37.3°C, your child should stay at home.
Each child must have in their possession 3 masks, a large bottle of water marked with their name.
If a member of the family is tested positive with the virus, you should keep your child at home. Online lessons will be offered to him/her.
* Are not considered as a mask: collars, bandanas, scarves, etc.
Upon arrival at school
Gathering and intersecting will be limited.
Only students and staff are allowed to enter the school reception area:
– with a protective mask;
– after hand sanitization;
– after having their temperature taken.
If a person has a temperature above 37.3°C, they will be immediately isolated. The medical team will contact the family for the child to return home.
During the day at school
Mandatory mask wearing
In Junior and Senior High school, wearing a mask is mandatory.
In Elementary school, wearing a mask is mandatory.
In Kindergarten, wearing a mask is mandatory.
Hand hygiene
Students must wash their hands with soap and water or hydroalcoholic gel*:
– Upon arrival at school,
– Before going to class, especially after recess
– Before and after each meal
– Before going to the bathroom and after having been
– After blowing their nose, coughing, sneezing
– As needed after handling possibly contaminated objects
– In the evening before going home.
* In Kindergarten and Elementary school, hydroalcoholic gel will be used under the supervision of an adult.
Barrier gestures for everyone, everywhere, always
The students:
Wearing a mask is compulsory in the classroom and the playground.
Respecting the circulation system (crossing of flows).
Respecting physical distancing in each area.
Gathering is prohibited in shared areas.
Use of hydroalcoholic gel in all classrooms.
Students are encouraged to change their mask every 4 hours.
The teachers
Mandatory mask wearing
Personal equipment: hydroalcoholic gel, disinfectant wipes.
Disinfection of the keyboard and video projector remote controls upon entering the classroom.
Hand disinfection before and after using copy machines.
Respect of the circulation plan.
The health staff
Set up of 2 rooms in the nurse's office: an isolation room in case of suspicion and a room dedicated to trauma.
Compulsory wear of mask + overcoat + gloves.
Equipment: paper protection sheets for the beds + disinfection of equipment after each visit.
Administration, Vie Scolaire, security, technical staff.
Mandatory mask wearing
Tailoring of the workstation with safety distances + plexiglass.
Respecting the circulation plan.
Equipment: hydroalcoholic gel + disinfectant wipes.
In Kindergarten
Before entering the Kindergarten, temperature control and hand washing is compulsory and systematic for everyone.
Regular hand washing will be supervised by the team and the classrooms will be ventilated and disinfected by our cleaning team every two hours.
Masks must be worn by everyone (adults and students).
What are the signs?
If your child has any of these symptoms, please see a doctor and/or have a PCR test done.
Feeling feverish, has chills like the flu or has a fever over 37.3°C
Sudden loss of smell without nasal congestion (blocked nose) with or without a loss of taste
A recent or recently worsened chronic cough
Unusual difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
Sore throat
If your child has two or more of these symptoms, please see a doctor and/or get a PCR test.
Stomach ache
Nausea (heartache) or vomiting
Diarrhea
Runny nose or nasal congestion (stuffy nose) of unknown cause
Unusual intense fatigue for no obvious reason
Significant loss of appetite
Unusual generalized muscle pain or soreness (not related to physical effort)
Unusual headache
In any other case, your child can go to school.
Protocol in case symptoms appear
At school
Mandatory respect of the barrier gestures.
Immediate isolation of the person by the nurse.
Monitoring
Contact with the family for a return home.
Reminder of the procedure to be followed by parents, that is: consult a doctor who will decide on the possibility and details of screening the child, if applicable.
Thorough cleaning of the room where the person was isolated.
Home follow-up
Inform the nurse’s office of the student’s health evolution.
In the event of proven COVID-19, a medical certificate will be required to return to school.
What to do
Case n°1 I have been tested positive with COVID
Strict isolation of the person, their family and close friends.
A follow-up will be carried out by the nurse's office.
Return to school may be considered after completing the required tests.
Case n°2 I have symptoms
Home isolation
Monitoring of the temperature every 4 hours as well as the appearance / possible evolution of symptoms. In case of aggravation, a medical consultation is strongly recommended.
A follow-up will be carried out by the nurse's office.
The return to LFJ can only be considered after TOTAL disappearance of symptoms.
Case n°3 I have been in contact with a COVID case
At home
Strict isolation of the person at home.
Antigen test to be performed at D+4.
A follow-up will be carried out by the nurse's office.
At school
The leadership team and/or the nurse's office will contact the families of the students who may have been in contact with a COVID case..
Total disinfection of the classroom.
These measures can be adapted by the health authorities. Families will be supported according to their needs.
