CE1 International Section students have been learning about “Famous Presidential Pets.” The students learned that there were quite a few famous pets in the White House. Most pets were general pets like dogs, cats, horses and birds. However, some animals there were definitely on the more peculiar side. They include silkworms, a hyena, a hippo, alligators, some tiger cubs, bears, raccoons and many more. Students were asked to draw and write about what kind of pet they would have if they were president. They presented their drawing and description to the other students. They definitely had some funny and interesting pets. Here is a picture of President Calvin Coolidge’s wife with her pet raccoon.
