During this whole week, all French Schools around the world celebrated Maths Week, focusing on “Maths in shape(s)”. The aim was to show all the students a current, lively and attractive image of mathematics.
Mathematics are all around us is what the CE1 students discovered. Multiple challenges, riddles, mathematical activities were offered daily about geometric shapes. Like coding the path of a robot so that it draws a square or a rectangle. The students also discovered a geometric alphabet in art and decoded an album told with geometric shapes. Finally, the students used Maths to stay in good shape by taking up physical and sporting challenges such as competing in doubles tables tennis or calculating their Molkky score!
