Ukraine has been at the heart of the news for more than two and a half months now with the start of the war. The students of the HGGSP option, joined by their classmates from the entire Première class, had the chance to participate this Thursday in a conference led by a researcher from the Ukrainian center for studies on the Holocaust in Kiev, Anatolii Podolskyi offered by the French School of Tokyo.
In addition to the invasion of Ukraine, the Ukrainian historian took advantage of this web conference to present the Memories of the Holocaust in the current Ukrainian society. A capital subject when one remembers that the pretext of the Russian attack against its neighbor was a so-called “denazification”. This instructive and moving meeting was part of the themes “History and Memories” in Terminale and ” Power” in Première (and more precisely here, the revival of Russian power).
